Passwort vergessen. Wie kann ich meinen Benutzerinnen und Benutzern helfen?

As a Master User, you can reset the password for your user as follows:

  1. In Master User Services, select the menu item "Account view/modify" and enter the account to be edited.
  2. Select the step "Password". Here you can either enter a new password manually (twice for security) or have a random password set. The random password is displayed after you press the "Save and exit" button.
  3. Inform the user of the new password and point out to him/her that he/she must change it as soon as possible via the Self Services in the LRZ IDM Portal to a password that is known only to him/her (and not also to you as the master user). Only then he/she will be able to use the account again.
