Wie muss ich mit Kurskennungen verfahren?
The article What are the types of LRZ accounts? describes what course accounts are used for. The following article describes what you must observe and do.
Course accounts are made inaccessible by the LRZ after the end of the course and a specified access time. This is done by default
- by changing the password
- one month after the end of the course.
If desired, a different time interval and/or immediate normalization of the accounts are also possible. Normalization of a course account means that all data of this account will be deleted. The account is brought to an "original state" in which all traces of previous use are removed.
This results in the following procedure:
If you have a new course session coming up, please send an email to your advisor that includes the following points:
- When does the course end? This information is absolutely necessary!
- When does the course start?
- How long should accounts remain accessible to users after the end of the course?
- No information from you: 1 month. - Is normalization of accounts necessary?
- No information from you: Only password is implemented, no normalization. - Which password? Please use a new password that is not known to participants in previous courses.
- No information from you: A random password will be used and sent to you by short e-mail: Subject: project name; Mailbody: the password. - When should accounts be usable?
- No information from you: immediately.
