Wie erzeuge oder ändere ich eine Gruppe?
Attention:
This Quick Guide does not apply to ADS groups at TUM. ADS groups for TUM are only administered in TUMonline.
The creation and administration of groups is only possible in the management service in the IDM-Portal 2.
Create groups:
For some services, in particular ADS, you can create and edit groups as a master user in your LRZ projects. For this purpose, you will find the category "Group" (highlighted in light blue) in the "Management-Service" on the left-hand side of the LRZ IDM-Portal 2. When creating a new group, you must first select for which of your LRZ projects you want to create the group. The other master users of this project will also be able to edit the group.
In the next step, you must select the LRZ service for which the group is to be used. You also need to specify a unique group name, a display name for the group and optionally a short description of the group. Especially ADS groups are always visible within the whole ADS client (i.e. LMU-wide, BAdW-wide etc.). The group is created with "Save".
Group members and group managers:
If you click on the "Edit" button at the top of an existing group, you can enter and delete the members and administrators of the group. To search for new members, the mail address can also be used instead of the account name. If a group name is entered as a group member, its members implicitly also become members of the group currently being edited ("Groups in groups").
The group managers have the task of registering and deregistering the members of the group as required, if you as master user do not want to do this yourself but delegate it.
N.B.: For some LRZ services, you as the master user are not allowed to edit groups. In this case, the "Edit" button is not displayed.
