For certain large web applications which do not fit into our standard hosting, either because of special system requirements, customised configuration or other reasons, we operate custom infrastructure on LAMP basis (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP). This page briefly describes some of these projects.

E-Learning with Moodle

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) are utilising the e-learning application Moodle at large scale and with various extensions and supporting systems. The LRZ operates most of the technical infrastructure. The setup and configuration of the Moodle installation is done by the teams of TUM and LMU, respectively.

TYPO3 with Corporate Design

Institutions or projects of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) can receive a website from TUM's IT Service Center that is prepared and ready to be filled with content. The LRZ hosts the underlying infrastructure, the IT Service Center of the TUM cares for installation and maintenance of the content management system TYPO3, as well as realisation of the corporate design.
