Troubleshooting: Why do I not see invitations in my account?
In some cases, invitations to LRZ Sync+Share folders do not appear in the profile. In most of these cases, the invitation was sent to an email address (private or from the institute) which is not listed in the LRZ Sync+Share account.
You can add an institute email address or a private email address to your account. This will merge the email address, but also all invitations (and top-level folders) belonging to that email address with the main account.
An email address can be added to an LRZ Sync+Share account in the web interface at https://syncandshare.lrz.de as follows:
Step 1:Click on the user icon in the upper right corner, select "My Account" from the drop-down menu. Step 2:Click on the "Manage" button in the "E-mail" line. | |
Step 3:Enter a valid e-mail address and click on the "plus" sign. Step 4:Confirm by clicking on "Save". A confirmation e-mail will then be sent to the new e-mail address. With the link that is contained in this e-mail, the email address is validated. |
In some cases, merging of accounts may take up to 60 seconds to complete. Please do not close the web browser. When the message "Successfully merged account" is displayed, the process has finished.
