Wie teile ich einer Kennung eine Berechtigung zur Arbeit am Hochleistungsrechner (Linux-Cluster) zu?

Access to the LRZ high-performance computer (Linux Cluster) cannot simply be activated via the master user services due to reporting obligations and accounting requirements. An extended authorisation procedure applies here for the use of the cluster and remote visualisation (Application for Use of the Linux Cluster System). After logging in there (with your account with Master User authorisation), the form must be completed and submitted according to the instructions there. Attention: Beforehand, you must have already created an account for all future Linux cluster users in your project.

After the application has been checked and approved by the LRZ, the user of the ID and you as the master user will receive confirmation by e-mail as to when login with the ID is possible at the cluster.

The same applies analogously for access to the high-performance systems (SuperMUC-NG). Here, too, permission is obtained via a separate extended SuperMUC admission procedure.
