The period between the creation of a new account via the Master User Services and the actual setting up of the new account on the respective platform is normally about 15 minutes. If a new account does not work even after a significantly longer period of time, please ask your LRZ advisor.

The new account can only be used after the user concerned has changed the start password in the IDM portal to a password known only to him/her.

Please note that access to some platforms such as the LRZ high-performance computers (Linux Cluster) cannot simply be unlocked via the Master User Services.
