Wie läuft die jährliche Projektverlängerung ab?
The project contract that your institution has concluded with the LRZ has a term limited to the end of the year and must be extended every year if required.
The project extension is initiated by the LRZ every year in the first half of November so that you do not have to be proactive. The head of your institution will receive an e-mail from the LRZ with precise instructions on how to log in into the project extension area of the project extension area of the IDM portal and initiate the extension there, including any necessary data changes.
If necessary, please remind your head of institution to renew the project electronically as soon as possible. If the LRZ does not receive a response from your institution after the end of the year despite repeated requests, the project identifiers will first be blocked and then deleted.
If your head of institution cannot take care of the project extension, he or she can appoint a contact person or deputy who can take care of this and other executive tasks (e.g. application for further LRZ projects, use of chargeable LRZ services, appointment of master users) for him or her. For this purpose, a one-time informal e-mail from your head of institution to the LRZ advisor responsible for your institution is sufficient (if you do not know your adsvisor or his/her e-mail address, please read Who is my LRZ advisor?)
Irrespective of the project extension, please inform your LRZ advisor of any changes to the address or name of your institution etc. as early as possible.
