Abstract
Impossible Spaces are one of the many elements in video games that not only makes it possible for players to experience something they never will in real life but can make a deciding difference for game developers during the design process. While a lot of studies have researched this topic, there is a lack of research on practical aspects of creating the functionality of such Impossible Spaces. The goal for this paper is to create a template for designing and implementing such functionalities, as well as bring insight to the strategies used in the development of Impossible Spaces. With the introduced approach, it is possible to design and implement other types of Impossible Space that are not mentioned in this paper more efficiently. The approach presented in this paper, as well as other strategies introduced in the literature, can be used as a guideline for developers to create their own Impossible Spaces.
