Ich bin Master User auf Höchstleistungssystemen (SuperMUC-NG). Was kann ich tun?

The FAQs you are reading are questions and answers for master users in LRZ standard projects. For the most part, they do not apply to you if you are a Master User on LRZ high-performance systems (SuperMUC-NG). What can you do?

The options in the IDM portal are limited to

• Set a password for an existing account in the project,
• Set quotas (aka quotas) for individual accounts in the project (CPU hours, HOME and WORK memory areas),
• Retrieve information, especially on HPC statistics in your project.

In particular, the following activities for actively managing your users are not accessible to you:

• Assigning a new account for a user in your project,
• Assigning a permission for a user to use a service on an existing account in the project.

So you will often not find the right answers to your questions in these FAQs. The special features for your projects in the area of high-performance systems are explained in the article SuperMUC-NG.
