Eine neu eingestellte Person hat bereits eine LRZ-Kennung. Muss ich trotzdem eine neue LRZ-Kennung für sie anlegen?

In general, users can take their personal LRZ accounts from one institution to another in the Munich Scientific Network.

Exceptions:

• If the account is managed directly by a university and fed into the LRZ identity management (LRZ-SIM) from there (as is currently the case at LMU Munich, TU Munich and Munich University of Applied Sciences), it is only possible to take the account with you within the same university. Otherwise, a new account must be created.
• If a user belongs to several institutions or projects at the same time, a separate LRZ account is necessary for each institution or project for organisational and accounting reasons.
• In the case of accounts in projects for the supercomputer (SuperMUC-NG), accounts generally cannot be transferred to other institutions and projects, among other things for reasons of accouting.
