Bedienung IDM-Portal 2

Here are some hints for usage of the IDM Portal 2 - especially in case you have been using the previous IDM Portal. 


1. To be able to manage projects and accounts, you must select “Management Service” at the top left. The “Management Service” replaces the previous “Master User Services”.



2 Basically, the IDM Portal 2 is structured very similarly to the previous IDM portal, with the main categories Organizations, Projects and Accounts.

    1. If you already had to manage groups for the ADS or other services, then you were already in the IDM portal 2
    2. What is new compared to the old IDM Portal is the "Exchange mailinglists" area, provided that your projects use Exchange as a service from the LRZ.

3. if you want to make changes to accounts, groups or distribution lists, you must click on the blue “Edit” button at the top. Do not forget to click on “Save” once you have made your changes. 

4. for some individual fields you will find a pencil symbol. This allows you to change the field next to it (and only this field).
