136 - Wie lösche ich einen Top-Level-Ordner bei LRZ Sync+Share?
You can delete LRZ Sync+Share top-level folders using the LRZ Sync+Share client, but also in the web interface. In the following, both possibilities are described.
Deletion via the LRZ Sync+Share client
At first, you have to stop the synchronization (see FAQ 125). To do so, right-click on the top-level folder in the client window and select "Stop sync" from the menu that appears.
Here you can specify whether the data displayed by the server should still be kept locally (option 1) or deleted (option 2). Afterwards, the top-level folder is highlighted in grey (stopped synchronization).
Now right click on the grey folder in the LRZ Sync+Share client.
Click on "Delete Folder" to delete the top-level folder permanently.
In case it was a shared top-level folder you were invited to, "Leave Folder" should appear.
Deletion in the web interface on https://syncandshare.lrz.de
Open https://syncandshare.lrz.de in your web browser.
Select the top-level folder you want to delete. Then click on the "Delete" button in the menu bar that appears above.
Confirm the deletion by clicking "Yes".
Please note: By doing so, previously connected clients will lose access to the top-level folder, as indicated by a yellow warning triangle. You can clean up the warning message that appears as described in FAQ 320.
