Hybrid HPC Quantum Computing at LRZ

Contents

In this course, participants will explore the diverse HPC and quantum systems at LRZ and learn how to access them. Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, they will be shown how to submit a quantum simulation job through a Quantum Portal and an HPC node. Simple problems and smaller exercises will ensure participants grasp the workflow and content thoroughly. By the end of this course, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge to use the quantum HPC infrastructure, create tokens, submit quantum circuits, and retrieve their simulation results.

Date: 12.03.2025

Topics covered include:

  • Munich Quantum Portal and its use
  • The HPC pathway to LRZ's quantum computers
  • Using multiple backends to submit jobs using LRZ's software stack
