To access protected areas of the Munich Scientific Network (MWN), such as the LRZ Cloud Storage, from off-campus, you need a so-called VPN (Virtual Private Network) access.
Likewise, you need VPN access to access the LRZ WLAN on campus.
Students, employees and guests of TUM, LMU and BAdW are authorized to access the VPN. All necessary information and the required software can be found on the LRZ pages at
