118 - Können Konflikte bei der Dateisynchronisierung auftreten?
When you work on files with other people (or work on the same file with multiple devices), conflicts may occur during synchronization in some situations. For example, if two people are working on the same file, the last person that saves we be successful in storing the changes. Synchronization is triggered as soon as the file is saved.
Conflict resolution
In case of a conflict with a file, the client keeps the latest version (after the last modification date) of the file in its original location. All other members of the folder also receive a copy of this version, but the previous version is still stored in the file archive so that nothing is lost. The overwritten version can then be restored from the file archive. In addition, the client notifies the members about the conflict with the file and a warning icon appears next to the folder where the problem occurred.
Enable conflict resolution
Conflict resolution is automatically activated in the client. If you disable conflict resolution, the client will not issue a warning in the Client User Portal and the overwritten version will not be saved in the file archive. To cancel conflict resolution (not recommended), proceed as follows:
- Click on Settings in the main window.
- Click Expert Settings.
- Remove the check mark for "Enable conflict handling".
