This depends strongly on your usage requirements. LRZ Sync+Share is predestined if your user behavior is reflected in the following examples:

• If you are already using other Sync+Share solutions such as Dropbox, OneDrive or iCloud, which are not subject to German data protection laws and you wish to have secure data storage in the LRZ data center.
  
  
• You want to have convenient access to your data worldwide.
  
  
• You are often travelling, want to work offline and want to use the automatic synchronisation of your data with the next internet connection.
  
  
• You want to access the current version of a file from different end devices (desktop, laptop, tablet, smart phone).
  
  
• You are working in cross-organizational projects with global participation and want to exchange important documents and collaborate on them.
  
  
• You want to easily distribute teaching materials and documents to students or research groups.
  
  
• You do not want to send large file attachments directly by e-mail, but rather via a password-protected link.
  
  

If you are primarily interested in sharing project data within the MWN and the above mentioned points only apply to you to a limited extent, the MWN Storage Cloud might be the more suitable solution for you.
