ATTENTION! IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Center for Virtual Reality and Visualization closed as of 14.02.2023
The V2C has been in user operation for more than 10 years now, therefore some remodeling work has to be done. For this reason, the V2C must be closed for user operation from 14.02.2023. We hope that this measure will not affect your projects too much and ask for your understanding for the inconvenience. Afterwards, you will again have access to modern and future-proof VR infrastructure.
Your V2C team
As part of the service offer of the LRZ, the mission of the V2C (Centre for VR and visualisation) is to provide state-of-the-art hardware and software as well as know-how in the fields of visualization and visualisation technologies. The V2C comprises both the building equipped with the most modern VR installations, which is made available to scientists, and a competence centre, within the framework of which experts in the fields of visualisation, virtual reality and augmented reality not only provide consulting support, but also actively work on visualisation projects with scientists and carry out independent research work.
The V2C should not only offer established software and hardware for science, but as a high-tech visualisation center it should also permanently evaluate state-of-the-art technologies within the scope of technology research and technology exploration and proactively provide them for science. Through a process of constant expansion and regular renewal, researchers will be introduced to the possibilities of future technologies and made accessible for their work.
