Currently all systems in normal operation - no new messages.



Messages for SuperMUC-NG

 New version of Gromacs (2022.3; already set as a default) and Plumed (2.8.0) are available in the current software stack on SuperMUC-NG.

Query the available modules via the command: 
     > module avail gromacs plumed

  New version 2023.R1 of the ANSYS software (ansys, lsdyna, icemcfd, cfx, fluent, etc.) has been installed and released on SuperMUC-NG. At the same time older versions of the ANSYS software 2020.R1 and 2020.R2 have been deprecated.



Messages for Linux Clusters

New version of Gromacs (2022.3; already set as a default) and Plumed (2.8.0) are available in the current software stack on CoolMUC-2.

Query the available modules via the command:
     > module avail gromacs plumed

 New versions  of Matlab ( R2022b, R2022a_Update5, R2021b_Update4) are available in the current software stack on CoolMUC-2.

New version 2023.R1 of the ANSYS software (ansys, lsdyna, icemcfd, cfx, fluent, etc.) has been installed and released on SLES15 based CoolMUC-2 and the Ubuntu Linux based "new" RVS systems. Due to an issue in the current module system
After winding back the module system on CMUC3 to the previous state (state of mid-december 2022) now ANSYS 2023.R1 could not yet be released on the SLES12 based release is available on CoolMUC-3 and the "old" RVS systems as well. Please mind, that now the version of the module system on CMUC2/CMUC3 are different.
Additionally Abaqus 2023 has been made available on CMUC3.
Older versions 2020.R1 and 2020.R2 of the ANSYS software have been deprecated. The "ANSYS on HPC Systems" documentation has been updated in due course.
