CFD-Lab

The  LRZ CFD Application Lab team specializes in the development of state-of-the-art methods for Computational Fluid Dynamics. The primary objectives and goals of the LRZ  CFD Lab are:

  • to develop advanced numerical technologies in multi- disciplinary computational fluid dynamics simulations on high performance computer platforms,
  • to provide advanced high-level support for efficient use of computational resources,
  • to analyse performance, optimize and tune applications,
  • to reduce the computation resources and the compute time to a reasonable amount,
  • to provide a highly skilled algorithm and techniques
  • to provide consultancy in the HPC-oriented application of commercial CFD packages (ANSYS CFD, Comsol, OpenFoam, StarCCM+, etc.) on all LRZ compute platforms, and
  • to offer technical workshops and training courses for usage of CFD software at LRZ.
