This course will be organised as an on-site course at LRZ in Garching near Munich. We strongly recommend to choose travel options and hotels with the possibility to cancel (even close to the event) because we might be forced to deliver the course as an online-only course.

Contents

QMware is giving an introduction and demonstration of the Q-HPC system hosted at LRZ, the QMware cloud services (Qognite) and basiq, the corresponding SDK. There will be hands-on exercises with quantum algorithms on the Q-HPC system, and participants can test the system live and pose any questions directly to QMware's staff. 

The level of the course is aimed at researchers with a background in physics or computer science with some degree of previous knowledge about quantum computing (i.e., it will be assumed participants know what a qubit is and what a Hadamard gate is).  

Prerequisites

Some previous experience with Python, and some general knowledge about quantum computation

Hands-On

The training is hands-on: Participants get access to the QMware Q-HPC system and can implement various quantum algorithms as part of exercises in order to get familiar with the SDK.
